What to Watch? ("the app") is a personal watchlist manager for movies and TV shows. This policy explains what happens to your data. In short: your data stays yours — we don't collect it, sell it, or share it.

What we collect

We do not collect any personal data. The developer has no servers and receives no information about you or your usage.

Where your data lives

• Your lists and entries are stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced to your own private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is controlled by you and your Apple ID. The developer cannot access it.
• Shared lists: if you choose to share a list, its contents are shared through Apple's iCloud with the people you invite. This is handled entirely by Apple.

Information sent to third parties

• The Movie Database (TMDB): when you search for a title or view details, your search text and the title identifier are sent to TMDB to return results, posters, and metadata. This is necessary for the app to function. TMDB's privacy policy applies to that data: https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.

Tracking and advertising

The app does not track you, contains no advertising, and uses no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored on your device and in your own iCloud, you can delete it at any time by deleting lists in the app or by removing the app and its iCloud data through iOS Settings.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
